Sophia shared her remarkable journey from starting her business at just 10 years old to becoming a successful young entrepreneur. Sophia’s Journey: From a Dream to a Thriving Business
In 2016, Sophia was just nine years old when she had an idea that would change her life. While on a family vacation in Hawaii, she told her mum, Megan, that she wanted to create a business that would bring joy to people through glitter and sparkles. But not just any glitter—eco-friendly glitter that wouldn’t harm the environment.
What started as a small idea has now blossomed into Glitter Girl, a business that promotes creativity, self-expression, and confidence in young girls everywhere. Sophia started by selling glitter to her friends at school for 20 cents a pot. However, after her school found out, she was told she couldn’t sell anymore, but this didn’t stop her.
Sophia and her family decided to launch an online store, and within just three days, Glitter Girl received its first order—from Tasmania! This was only the beginning, and as the business grew, so did Sophia’s dream.
