Glitter Girl Founder Sophia Rizzo Named in Australia’s Top 50 Kidpreneurs
We’re very excited to share that Glitter Girl founder Sophia Rizzo has been featured by News Corp and The Courier Mail as one of Australia’s Top 50 Kidpreneurs for 2026.
The national feature celebrates young Australians aged 18 and under who are building businesses, developing new ideas and turning their passions into something much bigger.
Sophia was recognised for the journey behind Glitter Girl — a business she started at just 10 years old on the Gold Coast in 2017.
From a 10-year-old’s idea to Glitter Girl
What began as Sophia’s love of makeup, colour and sparkle has grown into Glitter Girl, an Australian beauty brand with customers around the globe.
Over the past nine years, Sophia has been involved in every stage of growing the business — from developing products and creating content to packing orders, attending events, working with collaborators and building the Glitter Girl community.
Today, Glitter Girl is best known for its shimmer, glitter and beauty products designed to make getting ready feel fun, expressive and confidence-boosting.
Being included in Australia’s Top 50 Kidpreneurs is another special milestone in a journey that began with one idea and a lot of determination.
Recognising the next generation of Australian entrepreneurs
The Courier Mail feature highlighted a new generation of young Australians building businesses across areas including beauty, fashion, technology, social media and sustainability.
Sophia was featured alongside other young founders from around the country, recognising the creativity and ambition of entrepreneurs who are building businesses before they have even finished school.
For Sophia, the feature is particularly meaningful as Glitter Girl approaches its ninth birthday.
“Starting Glitter Girl when I was 10, I never imagined where it would take me. Being included in Australia’s Top 50 Kidpreneurs is such a special moment, especially as we celebrate nine years of Glitter Girl. I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported the brand and grown with us.”
Nine years of Glitter Girl
Since being founded on the Gold Coast in 2017, Glitter Girl has continued to evolve alongside Sophia.
What has stayed the same is the idea at the heart of the brand: beauty should be fun, expressive and something you can make completely your own.
From shimmer puffs and sparkle makeup to new product launches and collaborations, every chapter of Glitter Girl has been shaped by the community that has supported the brand from the beginning.
And nine years later, we’re only getting started.
