Before wishing a reluctant “Happy Valentine’s Day,” to those who observe, let’s take a moment to celebrate the *actual* most important holiday in February: Galentine’s Day. That’s right, we’re talking about the counterpart to February 14, aka the day dedicated to appreciating how much our friendships mean to us.
When it comes down to it, what is V-Day really about?
Celebrating loving, supportive relationships.
Who says those relationships must be romantic?
While lovers come and go, friends are what keep life rich through all the ups and downs.
They bring laughter, honesty, adventure, and a million other things to the table—hopefully margaritas are somewhere on that list.
This year, regardless of your relationship status, you and your gang should make plans to celebrate. Whether you learned it from the SATC girls, the Cheetah Girls, or the Golden Girls, the fact remains that your gals get you in a way that no one else can.

If dinner isn’t your thing, make time for breakfast or brunch with your bestie to make sure they know just how truly special they are.

Whether they’re new friends you’ve formed an instant bond with, or they’ve been by your side for years, treat your friendship soulmate with a spa day for the ultimate show of appreciation.
Book a mani-pedi for two or give them an hour to themselves with a relaxing massage. If DIY is more your style, set up a ‘rejuvenation station’ at home with scrubs, face masks and moisturisers for a cheap and cheerful night in.
Whatever your relationship status or plans this February 14, there’s one thing we know for sure: all forms of love deserve to be celebrated, so take some time to honour that unbreakable bond you share with your bestie.
