We are thrilled to share some incredible news with you all! Sophia, the talented cheerleader and founder of Glitter Girl, will be competing alongside her mother Megan in the world DC Cheerleading Games in Hawaii next week.
This is a special moment for both mother and daughter, as they get to share their passion for cheerleading on the world stage. Sophia and Megan have been working together for years to build the Glitter Girl brand and inspire young girls everywhere to pursue their dreams.
After Megan was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2019, she never dreamed of days like these. The journey has been long and challenging, but Megan never lost hope and continued to support Sophia in her endeavours. This competition is a testament to their strength, resilience, and unwavering bond. ??
The world DC Cheerleading Games is a prestigious event that brings together the best cheerleading teams from around the world to compete against each other. It's a chance for athletes to showcase their skills and abilities while experiencing different cultures and making new friends. Sophia has gifted some of her Glitter Girl products to the 70 athletes travelling to Hawaii as well as sponsored the team T-shirts and items to gift international athletes at the Cultural Exchange.
On top of that, this Sunday is also Mother's Day! What better way to celebrate than with this amazing news? Megan and Sophia's bond is truly special, and we can't think of a better way to honour their relationship than by watching them compete together in Hawaii.
As a community, we couldn't be prouder of Sophia and Megan for their hard work and dedication to the cheerleading community and to the Glitter Girl brand. We wish them all the best of luck in the competition and know that they will represent us all with pride and passion.

and then stay on and join us for the Celebration Luau.

The Hawaii wrap up
We are bursting with excitement as we share the incredible results of our journey to Hawaii last week for the world DC Cheerleading Games. It truly was a dream come true for both Sophia and Megan, and we are immensely grateful to @megacheergoldcoast for giving us this amazing opportunity to compete together.
Picture this: A Three Day Event packed with non-stop cheer fun! ? We kicked off with the Parade of Nations, strutting our stuff and representing Glitter Girl & our cheer club with pride. The energy was electrifying as Hawaii showed us three vibrant culture and teams from around the globe showcased their passion for cheer. It was a spectacle of colours and unity that set the stage for an unforgettable experience! ??
Then, brace yourselves for the Opening Ceremony, where the excitement reached its peak. The air was filled with anticipation and awe as we came together to celebrate the spirit of cheerleading. And oh boy, the Cultural Exchange was super fun. We got to mingle with amazing athletes from all corners of the world, sharing laughs, selfies, and, of course, Glitter Girl goodies. ??
Competing in Hawaii was already a dream, but little did we know that it would turn into a championship-winning experience, with Sophia and Megan becoming global DC champions together as athletes! ?
Oh, let me tell you, the bond between the team was like a disco ball on the cheerleading floor—dazzling, mesmerising, and inspiring everyone lucky enough to witness the fun performance! ✨? The energy was through the roof as Sophia and Megan brought the house down with their routine. It was a spectacle that left us all in awe, with tears of joy and glitter-filled cheers filling the air! ???
One of the highlights for Sophia was being able to sponsor the team T-shirts and give every athlete a sparkly GG Tote bag with sparkly goodies inside. It has always been her dream, and to see it come true in Hawaii made it even more special. The vibrant pink Hawaii-themed shirts brought an extra touch of joy to the competition, and we were thrilled to see the athletes proudly wearing them.
But it wasn't just about the competition. This trip allowed us to connect with so many incredible cheer individuals & clubs from all over the world. The cheerleading community is a tight-knit and supportive one, and we cherished the opportunity to meet new friends, share experiences, and spread the glittery love.
Giving away Glitter Girl goodies to fellow athletes was a highlight, and seeing their smiles and excitement warmed our hearts.
Hawaii, you have stolen our hearts! This adventure was so much more than a competition; it was an unforgettable experience that will forever shine in our memories. We are forever grateful to our Glitter Girl community, the organisers, and our fellow athletes for the unwavering support and love. You all brought the sparkle and made this journey extra special. ✨?
